Master of Divinity (M. Div.) Through Distance Education
Admission
Logos M.Div. Distance is a trimester programme. The first trimester begins in February, the second in June, and the third in October. Students can take admission to any of these trimesters. Applications, with required certificates and references, should reach L.C.A.S. for the February cycle by January 15th, for the June cycle by April 15th, and for the October cycle by September 15th.
Admission requirements
L.C.A.S. offers two types of entry:
1. Standard Entry: Completion of 10+2 and any secular bachelor’s degree; or mature candidate (+30 years of age with language skills and a pass in the qualifying exam)
2. Upgrade Entry: Completion of 10+2 and B.Th. or equivalent.
Course Procedures
Students will be provided with a Subject Note and a Compendium for each course. Each student will be guided by a mentor throughout his/her studies. The student will meet with the mentor twice a month. The mentor will guide the student in writing assignments and in preparing for the examination.
Medium of Instruction
English.
Course Requirements
• In Standard Entry learner needs to complete 90 Credits including thesis (thesis is optional).
• In Upgrade Entry the learner needs to complete 66 Credits including thesis (Thesis is optional).
• In addition to the required subjects, the learner may opt to study the basics of biblical Hebrew and Greek, if he/she wishes to.
Course Duration
Standard Entry: Minimum three years
Upgrade Entry: Minimum two years
